Classification of fireproof windows

Do not open the fire windows: Windows can not open the fire windows. That is sealed around the fixed. 

Open fire-proof window: a fire-proof window which can be opened and closed under the action of the opening and closing device of the fire-proof window.

Note: The new fire window standard of 2008 refines the testing standard of movable fire window; the supply of movable fire window opening and closing device can be accessed to the fire products information network to check the testing and pass the testing report of the manufacturer, name of manufacturer.

Materials and accessories

（1）The steel frame or wood frame with certain strength is adopted to ensure the integrity and stability of the members.

（2）Galvanized steel or stainless steel can be used for steel frame and pressing. The standard of material selection is in accordance with GB12955“General technical conditions for steel fire doors” 5.1 provisions.

（3）The standard of material selection for wood frame and laminate shall conform to the stipulation of 5.1.1 in GB14101“General technical conditions for wood fire doors”.

（4）Steel, wood frame internal filling materials should be used non-combustible materials.

（5）Fire-resistant glass can be selected does not affect the fire-resistant performance of fire-resistant window test qualified products. The transmittance of glass is not less than 75% of the same layer of ordinary flat glass.

（6）The sealing material between the frame and the fireproof glass should adopt the fire-resistant material, which can play the role of fireproof and smoke proof in case of fire.

（7）The hardware fittings should be the qualified products.

（8）Fire protection window opening and closing device: must have the function of temperature-sensitive release window sash, there is integration in the market (closing device) , divided (fuse device) .

Installation of fire windows

（1）Fire windows must be checked before installation, such as due to improper transport storage window frame, window sash warpage, deformation, glass damage, should be repaired before installation.

（2）When installing the fireproof window, must use the level ruler to level or use the hanging line method to correct its front and rear about verticality, achieves the horizontal, the vertical, the height is the same.

（3）The window frames must be integrated into the building and connected to the walls by wooden or iron pieces. After the steel window frame is installed, the cement mortar must be poured between the window frame and the wall body, and maintained for more than 24 hours before normal use.

（4）The position of hardware fitting installation hole should be accurate, so that hardware fitting can be installed flat, firm, meet the use requirements.

（5）When the fireproof glass is installed, the four sides of the gap must be even. After positioning, fill in the four sides of the gap with fireproof cotton, and then seal the edge strip.

（6）In addition to the above requirements, the installation shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the code for construction and acceptance of works.
